Caroline Yang, MD

I believe in developing a strong patient-doctor relationship, through listening to my patients' needs and respecting their autonomy.

Caroline Yang, MD

I want to empower my patients to take on a collaborative approach to wellness. I also value looking at a patient's whole history, including genetic, family and cultural influence as well as developmental, childhood and adolescent challenges. I have special interests in cultural psychiatry, transitional age youth, childhood/adolescent depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. In addition to medication management, I use CBT modalities, DBT-informed therapy, family therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I'm currently accepting new patients ages 30 and younger.

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology at Johns Hopkins University and completed my medical school training at the University of Washington School of Medicine. I am a Board-Certified General Psychiatrist and completed a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Harbor UCLA. I've participated in the UCLA Parent Training program and am UCLA PEERS (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) for Young Adults Certified. Other clinical experiences I've had include being the consulting psychiatrist at Loyola Marymount University for the Student Psychological Services, providing services for undergraduate students.
