About

Bryan Rowland, LMFT

We have all experienced unique challenges in our lives; some may consider their challenges particularly overwhelming or are unable to move beyond where they are to where they want to be. Whether you’re depressed, often nervous or anxious, challenged by your moods, a victim of trauma or simply overwhelmed by relationships in your life, you have what it takes to feel better and learn to successfully manage problems that may have plagued you for years. I have been a Licensed Psychotherapist (LMFT) for 17 years offering a safe, open, and affirming space for healing to occur. I spent much of my career working with children, adolescents & their families and I have successfully assisted adults of all ages and couples to overcome their struggles by creating a relationship that promotes connection and healing. By exploring character and personality development I am able to help others see how their development as a person over their life span has contributed to much of how they experience their life and relationships today. Many times, this has led to the use of certain defenses to cope with problems that are likely only perpetuating suffering, rather than allowing us to make clear choices that allow ourselves to fully understand who we are and how to get to where we want to be. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

I am able to utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to assist those suffering from the effects of Trauma, anxiety, unresolved childhood issues, substance dependence, and other ailments. EMDR has the potential for more of an immediate impact in treatment. I will also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a vehicle to help others cope successfully with difficult thoughts or beliefs, depression, anxiety, and anger. My training and experience in the use and teaching of PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) has allowed me to assist families struggling with disruptive, oppositional, or non-engaged relationships between parent and child. I utilize a Family System’s approach to address concerns and communication difficulties within families, and have received training in Imago and Gottman Couples therapy. I have also successfully served clients suffering with Asperger's syndrome.

Reviews for

Bryan Rowland, LMFT

Bryan is awesome! He's an excellent listener. After listening to me, he felt I would be a good candidate for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I'm getting a lot of benefit out of it. I'm also seeing Dr Jurici (Psychiatrist) at this practice to assist with my medication.

I am experiencing benefit from this holistic approach. I suffer from depression and extreme anxiety. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm climbing out of a rut.

I usually dislike the process of "getting to know" therapists and was daunted by that when I finally found PCPA. Bryan is so easy to talk to and work with, and has completely changed the way I think about certain roadblocks and stressors in my life. Bryan is a wonderful therapist and human being and it's been so easy to work with him thanks to the ease of video visits and online scheduling.
