Ardis Martin, MD

I am a Board Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist with clinical experience specializing in pediatric and adult psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic techniques including CBT, Play Therapy, and Individual Psychodynamic Therapy.

Ardis Martin, MD

I enjoy taking a holistic and integrative approach to treatment, incorporating different treatment techniques and modalities and working collaboratively with patients and families to develop the most positive outcomes. I also have special interest in cultural issues, media, and music and their impact, interplay, and uses in treatment of psychiatric illness. In addition to working with children, adolescents, and their families, I really enjoy working with young adults (age 18-25), supporting them as they transition into their new roles in college, work, and relationships.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Philosophy at Boston University and my medical degree at Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University (formerly Wright State University School of Medicine). I completed my Adult Psychiatry Training at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and my Child and Adolescent Training at the Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital Fellowship Program in Boston. My outside interests include music, writing, and the arts.

Reviews for

Ardis Martin, MD

Dr. Martin created an atmosphere that made me feel comfortable opening up and even laughing at times. I just moved to California and am all alone here, so am so grateful I was able to find such a kind and insightful doctor right away.

Dr. Martin has a wonderful calm demeanor. She is attentive and really wants to understand her patient's needs. I think my daughter will be in great hands.

Dr. Martin is sharp & on point. It was easy to talk to her; she fully understands what I need and was able to assist me in getting the services that would work best for me. She is very professional. For that, I am grateful.

Dr. Martin is a patient and active listener. She remembers previous conversations which makes me feel that she knows me as a person and cares about me. She is cautious with prescribing medication and gives clear instructions on how it should be taken and any side effects to look out for.
Her portal email correspondence is quick, generally same day.

She knew what she was talking about. Very thorough.
