Eishita Manjrekar, PhD

Whether you've been struggling with work-related stress, life transitions, grief, relationships, persistent symptoms (e.g., worry, depressed mood, angry outbursts), or something else—we will work together to identify what to focus on and address. I will develop an individually-tailored treatment plan to help you set healthy goals, learn and utilize new skills, and make effective short and long-term changes in your life. Additionally, I will strive to help you approach difficult thoughts and feelings, and build a life that aligns with your values.

As a licensed clinical psychologist trained in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness based-therapies, I work with clients to integrate the most relevant and helpful techniques in treatment. I also incorporate initial and ongoing assessment in my practice, to track clients’ progress and to update treatment strategies.

I enjoy working with adults across the age spectrum; I have treated individuals experiencing symptoms of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and ADHD among others. My academic background encompasses research on emotional variables and eating, body and health-related outcomes. I have published peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on topics such as body image disturbances and binge eating disorder. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and completed my predoctoral residency and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University’s Alpert School of Medicine.

Reviews for

Eishita Manjrekar, PhD

Eishita is incredibly attentive and professional. She lets me focus on what's concerning me during my session, while also reminding me of other objectives I've brought in the past. I never feel like I have not enough time or extra time that I'm not using. She provides a great balance of listening to what I say and facilitating self-reflection and development. I feel like each session builds onto the next in a great way. 10/10 stars!

[Eishita] listens to my concerns. She is great and helps me strategize when solving my concerns.
